Soft Product Design for Therapeutical Interactions
This project explores possibilities of Future Interactive Wearables. When we have technology built into the very fibres of the fabrics you wear, what can be the potential applications? This design takes the shape of hooded scarves that allow wearers to play therapeutic sounds to each other. This is accomplished through the use of touch sensitive fabric sensors and embroidered speakers. These sounds utilize binaural frequencies to elicit positive reactions such a calmness and healing with the users, while the soft fabrics used on the hooded scarves provide comfort and reassurance. Modular electronic components are sewn on
and hidden away within layers of fabric, giving a glimpse of how soft, wearable devices can be made and be used in the future.
